Volunteers of Isha & friends of Isha are running for Isha Vidhya, a rural education initiative of Isha Foundation in the TCS World 10K run in Bangalore to raise funds for its rural schools. 7 schools are in operation, and objective is to open 207 schools in the southern state of Tamilnadu in India to educate economically very backward children whose parents are labourers, part of a tribe, etc. High quality English education is provided with computers integrated to the curriculum.
